Anthony McMahon
Director
The founder and Director of McMahon Hire Solutions, Anthony McMahon has over 23 years industry experience. His journey began with a five-year college course that led to an Advanced Diploma in Business Leadership. Following this, he worked for over two decades in various field and management positions with leading Australian companies, including Coates Hire, Kennards Hire and RNMP Hire.
His desire to combine the ultimate range of construction hire equipment with outstanding customer service is the driving force that led him to establish McMahon Hire Services. In its first year and a half of trading, the company has already received industry awards, including the Aaron Sansoni - Business Multiplier Award and the New Equipment Hire Company of the Year - Small Business and is an active member of the Hire & Rental Industry Association.
Anthony continues to expand the company, recently opening a second depot in Torquay to complement the existing original Derrimut location. This allows the firm to further serve a wider Victoria base, both for larger construction equipment, such as excavators and earth movers, as well as every other concrete, site setup, compaction, access equipment and general tools and equipment hire.

Trent Whitten
Operations Manager
Trent Whitten joined McMahon Hire Solutions as Operations Manager in December 2022 and brings over 17 years of industry experience to the role. With a background in motor mechanics from 2000 – 2007, he then undertook further qualifications in the Diagnosis of Complex System Faults at Kangan Institute and Cert IV Frontline Business Management with Motivate Training.
After completing his studies he worked in various supervisory and management positions for businesses such as Coates Hire, Kubota and ConX Hire before bringing his wealth of experience to McMahon Hire Solutions.
The role of Operations Manager sees Trent using his passion for technology, construction equipment and business to elevate the complete customer experience. His expertise means he’s equally at home advising customers on equipment choices for their project as he is ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of both the company’s Derrimut and Torquay sites.
